What We Teach
Fear and anxiety are the greatest inhibitors to learning. They shut down the brain and it goes into fight, flight or freeze. We keep your child engaged in numbers which increases math knowledge and confidence for a lifetime.

Science

ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE AND ECOSYSTEMS
Farmers were the original Environmental Scientists
Their understanding of land, soil, water, sun and air has fed the planet since we roamed the planet as gatherers.
Our primary project is container gardening and aquaponics
We teach children how to care for the planet by growing vegetables in containers as well teaching the interdependence of
human, animal and plant life to the elements.
We experiment with sustainable energy by learning about alternative energy sources and how air, water and soil are the basic components of the planet.
Our program includes recycling, reusing and reducing pollution.
Math
Real Life Math is especially suited for those with Math Anxiety
Math Socialization
We use Math games and socialization to practice math skills. Learners perform mental math tasks in a relaxed atmosphere and make decisions using practical math activities with manipulatives.
This kinesthetic interactive approach is relaxing and enjoyable and the reasoning as well as fluency skills are transferred to long term ory
Math and Critical Thinking
We use Money, Entrepreneurship and Financial Literacy to teach critical thinking along with Math Reasoning. Children love handling “money” and making decisions with how much is their time worth and the value of their efforts. These activities create interesting discussions while teaching turn taking and discussion skills. Our activities are grounded in social emotional learning

ARTS
We use recycled materials to make Art. We love crafts that serve a dual purpose that is utilitarian while also being unique. We use a lot of materials found in nature and those that are discarded as trash and give them a second life.
We use arts and crafts as a type of Art Therapy Learners enjoy working with their hands and the various textures and colors. They learn to work together as well as complete projects separately. The Arts are an integral part of our program

Reading
The Best Way to Create a Love for Reading is through storytelling
Children love stories. They love to listen to them and they love to tells them.
We have a project where the children interview an Elder in their family and learn about their origins and where there family came from as well as their adventures. It creates an intergenerational bond. We also recruit Elders to come and read to the children and allow the children to read to them in a reading circle. It is a great bonding activity which embeds social emotional learning into the dynamic.

Technology
Children today are digital natives. We try to teach them to use technology to solve problems. The environment is one of those problems we try to solve. We also explore how technology can be used to solve and assist people with disabilities or allow seniors to stay in their homes for a longer period of time. There are ethical issues with AI that we want children to consider as we expand it’s use.

Geospatial and sustainable energy
Students explore maps, weather patterns, and energy flow to understand how geography and clean energy impact our planet. Hands-on activities teach stewardship through solar power, wind experiments, and earth mapping.

Collaborating and Coding
We teach kids the power of teamwork through beginner-friendly coding projects. Learners use logic, creativity, and communication to build simple apps and solve real-world challenges.

Robotics
From assembling to programming, students bring machines to life. Our robotics lessons encourage design thinking, motor skills, and innovation—all while having fun building and experimenting.

AI
Students engage in age-appropriate discussions about AI ethics, bias, and everyday uses. They explore how AI helps solve problems—and where human values must lead the way.
